Sad day...

Why? Because after almost 10 years of having a belly button piercing, I have finally taken it out!! But it is for a good cause... An expanding belly!! I just hope the ugliness that my belly button is currently heals and looks normal again!! Probably not... And if not, just another reason to but it back in later one!! Which is just another reason that after this baby comes, I have to get back into pre-prego shape!! :) I know, I know, thinking waayyyyyy too ahead of the game!!

But for now.. Let the expanding begin! :)

Slacker already!!!

I know, I know... I've not updated this week with a bump picture!! My apologies!! I know you are sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see how much I've grown in the last week!!! haha!! Well, I'm here to finally update!! And this week its going to be 14 and 15 weeks... I figured I am so close to 15 weeks, that this one can count for both and I'll start updating week by week next week!!! But not much has changed, but the bump is now getting more noticeable.. see for yourself:



* How far along?: 14/15 weeks
* Total weight gain: 2lbsish... My body has the trimesters mixed up.. Apparently it thinks you're supposed to have M/S during the 2nd Tri, not the 1st! Lucky me! :)
* How big is baby?: I would guestamate about 3 to 3.5''
* Sex: Still not definite answer.. But I have my guess!
* Maternity clothes?: I'm wearing a pair of maternity jeans but thats about it..
* Stretch marks?: Nope, keep myself lathered up!
* Sleep?: Other than the normal wake up calls to use the bathroom, getting some sleep!
* Best moment this week?: Having someone say my tummy looks cute.. They're noticing now!
* Movement?: Getting the bubbles.. But still too soon!
* Food cravings?: Pizza and Popsicle! And still sweets!
* Labor signs?: Nooooo thank you!
* Belly button in or out?: Inny!
* What I miss: Being able to eat without feeling nauseous!
* What I'm looking forward to: Finding out what we're having and feeling baby b!
* Milestone: Having a noticeable bump and not a pugy tummy!

So other than that update, not much else going on here!! Hubs started phase 2 of training.. There for he is gone for exactly 12 hours a day! And he has to be there on Saturday.. Which was sad!! But he has started flying!! Yay!!!

Still looking for name suggestions!!! And we'll have to start the a poll soon to see what everyone thinks Baby B will be!!!

To find New and Exciting Recipes!!!

I have come to the conclusion that I am a boring cook! It seems like every week I tell my self that I am going to cook something different that what we normally eat.. But of course, when I go on a google rampage searching for new recipes, I get stumped.. And then I end up forcing Hubs to eat the same old stuff we had last week or even the week before... I'm sure he does not mind, but I would like to start trying new things!!!

So I need help!!! I am going to attempt to find a new cook book today, so that might help.. But I need the help of all of you!! Post your favorite recipes!!! Or email them to me!! Puhhhhlease! :)

Oh how we have missed you!!!

What a surprise it was to wake up this morning and see sunlight!! The past 5 days have been nothing up gloomy, rainy days! Not the "I want to stay home, curled up on the couch with a blanket and movie" kind of rain.. You know, the downpour type... But its been the "drizzling, dreary, I do not want to do anything" kind of rain! Basically the last few days, its been "spitting" and barely raining outside...

But not today!!!! Today, we are blessed with sunshine and clear skies!!! Its beautiful outside today!!! Its the type of day and no matter what type of mood your in, you have to smile when you look outside!!! Maybe its just me! :) And its a nice 60 degrees outside!!!

But thought I would share!!!


Maybe we will find something to do outside today...

Absolutely Exhausted and Wk 13!!

This last week has been exhausting!! I guess it is due to coming back from a long break, beginning a new job and my body working overtime! The funny thing is I have not really done much in my new job yet.. So I can only imagine how tired I will be in the coming weeks!! Basically, while Hubs is in training for the next year, I have managed to get orders here for the next 6 months... I know that sounds confusing... So in easy, dumbed down terms, I do not have to travel back to Birmingham every few months to do drills!! So, I am thankful that I am able to work here for the next 6 months while I am baking baby b! :)

So we are on to week 13!!! I got to see our little bundle of joy!! :) I'm getting even more excited as the time goes by! I have been very fortunate to not have very many pregnancy symptoms.. Which is a good thing, but on the other hand it is very hard too because I do not feel pregnant! But as the time slowly creeps on, I am beginning to see some effects and feel a little more pregnant!

Let the bump pictures begin....

Ok, so I have waited long enough to start the bump pictures.. Every blog I have read started the a lot earlier than I have.. But I wanted to start documenting the progress!! So, I am beginning the documentation with my 12 wks picture!! Or at least that is what I am going by. I have a doctors appointment next Monday and they might adjust my Due date.. But for now were sticking with the original one!!

I know I am really not showing, its probably more bloating, but this pregnancy is becoming a little more noticeable! :) Guess it is kind of making it real!!

12 wk bump:

Beginning the New Year!

Well, we made it back!!! I apologize to everyone who has been sitting on the edge of their seats waiting on my next post.. I was a little busy while back home for 11 days!!! So I deeply apologize for making you wait!!! But here goes...

So, being home for a little while was great!!! I definitely missed it!! We had a great time seeing all our family and friends!!! The weather was beautiful and gave us a little sense of winter! I loved it!! Just wish it would have snowed a little!! I know... I can wish!! :)

While home, we got to give everyone the best Christmas present, or more like Christmas news... The present comes later... Catch my drift?...... Wait for it...... Yes, that's right, Hubs and I are expecting, unexpectedly!! For those of you who know me, you may be asking yourself, "wasn't she taking BCP?" And the answer is yes... I was one of the lucky 1% of the 99% effective!! Maybe I should go to Vegas and try my luck there?? Haha!! But yes, Hubs and I were on the "wait a few years before babies" track, but The MAN up above had a better plan for us! You can plan your life, but God is the only one who knows exactly how it will turn out!!


So, as of today, I am 11wks, 6days and I am due in July!! So you might be asking yourself, why did it take us so long to tell every one? Well, here is what happened.. Way back in November, I finished a pack on BCPs and within a few days, noticed that AF never came... So, of course I started wondering... Could I really be? Talked to hubs about it... He didn't really think any thing of it because I have said a few times before "What if I am pregnant.." So what made this time different?? Well, I deiced to take a test and low and behold there were two pink lines!

This all happened right before Thanksgiving.. We were headed up to Dallas to spend time with some family, but we decided it was too early to tell the news.. Hubs and I had the usual nerves about miscarriage and all that junk.. So we just deiced to keep it all to ourselves, plus we wanted to tell our parents first! So the week after Thanksgiving, after about a dozen HPTs, I went in and had a blood test done to prove to myself that I was really in fact prego!! And yes, the test came back positive. Fast forward two weeks to mid December and the first prenatal Doctors visit... I was sure when I went in for the appointment, they would do all the tests and stuff they normally do, but when it came time for a ultrasound, there would be nothing... But boy was I wrong... When they did the ultrasound, there it was... The heartbeat!!! It was really real!!!


Fast forward another two weeks to Christmas time... We finally get to tell everyone!!! I had made a scrapbook to share with our families... The flow of the book goes "First comes Love... Then comes marriage... Then comes first house.... and then on the last page it has "And baby.... Surprise!!" And a picture of the BFP test and the ultrasound picture...

First was Hubs's family... We managed to get Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother to all look at the book at the same time... As the flipped page by page, my heart started to race waiting for the last page... When they turned to the last page, there was a long pause followed by out bursts of excitement!! It was really priceless!!! They were all really excited for the unexpected news!!

Next was my dad's turn.. Hubs and I decide to go up and see him and some more family on Christmas. It was an unplanned trip so we didn't have any presents for any one, but that played into how we decided to tell... After they dad and family opened presents.. Hubs and I apologized for not having their present right now.. We explained to them that their present would not be ready until July... We got a few confused looks and a few people figured it out right away.. Everyone was really excited!!

On to Mom's turn... Mom and family had been in WVa for Christmas so I didn't get to see them until the 28th.. I decided I wanted to tell her right away.. So when Hubs and I got to the house, I told her I had finally made a scrapbook! We sat down to look at it.. As she flips past the "Then comes...." She sighs and says, "I thought I was going to see something else besides the house pictures..." And when she gets to the last page... She looks up, with tears in her eyes and says "really???" It was sweet!! The funny thing about telling my mom was that I think she was suspicious all along.. You see, back when I went in and had the blood test done, that night, I got a text from my mom says my little sister (3yrs old) has said "I have a baby in my tummy like my sister...." As you can imagine this freaked Hubs and I out, because we had not told anyone the news!!!! So I think from that day, she thought something was up!!!

We told C, C and H by giving them wrapped bibs that said "I love Grandpa" "I love my aunt" and "I love my uncle.."

We really had a great time telling everyone!!! Now the word is out!!! Finally!! :)

So now starts the new journey and the new theme of this blog!!! Hope everyone enjoys it!!! :) We are really excited about our little Peanut!! :)
