Our little boy is 1!!!

Happy Birthday Little Buddy!

Our little guy has gone from this sweet, little peanut...
To this handsome, energetic, loving and happy little boy!


He is my world and I could not ask for a better little boy! I have been teary eyed all week thinking about Cole's birthday! Its bitter sweet because he is no longer an infant, but an active little toddler! He still needs me, but is getting more independent by the day! He makes me soo happy to be his momma!

Here is a little note that I would love to share with him later on in life!!

Dear Cole,

Happy Birthday to our handsome little guy!! We were recently looking at pictures of your first days and its hard to believe its been a whole year since you were born!

This year has been one of the hardest, yet most rewarding and amazing year of our life. We know you won't remember anything from your 1st year when you are all grown up, but we will never forget it & you'll probably get sick of us reminiscing or saying "remember when?"

Mommy will never forget the moment the doctor placed you in her arms. There was a rush of emotions that came over me... Fear, excitement, anxiety... I carried you for 9 months, loving every kick, movement & hiccup and finally you were right there in front of me to see. It was by far one of the BEST moments of my life.

We'll never forget your scrunched up little nose, your "quiet" little cry... How you would inch your way up our chests as we held you.. Or the little noises you would make while you slept or ate... The first time you rolled over on your own, or refused to sleep on your back, making us worry every moment you slept on your tummy! We''ll never forget your first little smiles, coos, and laughs because they brought smiles and joy to our hearts. And we'll never forget the day you learned to wave hello or shake your head no, it was the cutest thing.. Hopefully, We will continue to think its cute! :)

We'll never forget the day you said "mama" or was upset at mommy and called for "dada." Or the time you gave your first hug and kiss.. It melts our heart every time!

We love you with all our my hearts, Cole Stephan. Mommy and Daddy will always be your biggest supporter & we"ll support you no matter what you want to do in life. We will love you no matter what. We will be there for you always, wherever you are, no matter what age.

Mommy is thankful for every single day she gets to take care or you, watch you grow and teach you.. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives watching you grow & learn.

We are having Cole's 1st Birthday party on Saturday, so expect pictures soon!!

Lots happening..

Must I say it? Or is it obvious? And you already know whats coming? I have been informed, by a very loving friend, that I have been a horrible blogger.. :)

So, since I blogged last, lots has happened and is continuing to happening..

Hubs is finally home.. I must say, This is a wonderful thing!! It is awesome to finally be a family again!!

We have moved, again... For at least the next year, we will will call Alabama home!! I was hesitant at first, but am now very excited about this!! Among many other things, we have an amazing little home that we are renting from friends, we are close to our Alma mater and cannot wait for FOOTBALL season to start!! Hubs is definitely excited to be back at our unit and be flying with our unit!

We Celebrated 4th of July with my best friend and her new husband!! And I must say, Cole loved the fireworks!! Every one kept telling me to be skeptical about the noise and all bothering Cole.. but boy did he prove everyone wrong! This little guy loved watching fireworks!! Noise was not a factor!! He sat there and watched for a feel minutes, got bored and continued playing like nothing was going on!! It was definitely a relief to not have to ruin anybody's evening with leaving early!! We have such a good little guy! :) (Please ignore the bad picture quality! These are all off my phone! Yes, I have been bad about using my camera!)



During the Holiday weekend, we got to spend some much needed relaxation time at the lake with my family! It was a lot of fun!! Cole loves the water! It was soo nice being on a house boat to let him just crawl around.. This was his favorite spot:




The last couple day h been spent trying to unpack and get the house put together, all while mommy's little helper follows me around undoing it all! :) It really is a lot of fun!! Being that all of our stuff has been in storage for the last 6 months its kind of like Christmas all over again seeing everything we have!! Now, if I can just find somewhere to put it all!



Apparently he did not like where we put his highchair, so he decided to rearrange things! :)

This is probably Cole's favorite spot in the new house.. Looking out the window to see if daddy is home yet.. :) He loves him soo much! :)




I am under a lot of pressure to get the house unpacked and put together pretty quick.. Why? I'm a busy lady.. Thats why! :) Next weekend we are headed out of town for a family reunion for Hubs's family.. Then the following weekend, our precious little boy turns 1 (still hard to believe)!! Anddddd we have decided to throw a last minute party at our house.. The reason it is last minute is because we were going to wait until August to do the party back home in Georgia.. But after Hubs and I talked about it, we decided that we wanted to throw Cole a birthday at our own house.. And we wanted to finally be able to host all of our family at our place.. We were never able to before because we lived many states away.. So thus, we are having a birthday / house warming party on July 23rd, come hell or high water, the house will be put together and I will plan a party for my little guy!!

Almost 1!!

I cannot believe this sweet little boy is about to be 1!! Time really has flown by!!


With that said, things have been pretty busy!! My best friend got married last weekend, Hubs was in for less than 24 hours for that, Father's Day, and I got to relive my tween obsession!! I went to the NKOTBSB concert! It was a blast!! :) Hubs is finishing up his training and will be home middle of next week.. Then were off to Birmingham!!! Lots to do in the next week to get ready for the move!! Cannot wait to be settled and finally have my family together!!!

10 Months... geez!

Yes, I honestly cannot believe that in 2 short months, we'll be celebrating my sweet little boy's 1st birthday!! Just a few updates on little Cole:

- 18 to 18.5 lbs
- Wants to eat everything!! And don't try eating infront of him and not giving him anything.. He'll yell at you!
- Is a speed crawler!
- Cruises along everything, getting more interested in walking.
- Loves playing with anything that is a ball -- Going to be a sports player, hopefully!
- Loves being outside!
- Seasoned flyer!! Flown about 4 round trips, already and headed out again this weekend!

Quick update!

Yes, I know.. SLACKING, again... But I wanted to post a few pictures for everyone!! I honestly cannot believe Cole will be 9 months next week!! And its hard for me to think in just a few months he will be 1!! So I have already started thinking about his birthday and what to do.. I have decided on a theme... Ready for it?? Planes, Trains and Automobiles!! :) I wanted to go with someone very boyish.. And it totally fits our families!! :) No to plan the actual day!! :) Other than that, things are going pretty good.. We got Easter pictures done last week.. Cole definitely astonished the photographer because he was ALL smiles the entire time!! We'll be going again soon to get some cousin pictures done! So I had to share this with everyone.. Cole's new favorite thing is the bath! Our room has an adjoining bathroom which is very convenient, not for me but for Cole! Why do I say this? Well, normally if I am doing something in the room he will just sit and play and crawl around.. But when it comes bath time and I was "Ok, go get in the bath..." He crawls directly to the bath... and stands there like this:

Oh, does this kid LOVE baths!!!!! His new favorite thing to do is to try and climb in the bath himself!! Its pretty comical!! Here is proof:

He is definitely a pretty cute kid!! But I am partial! :) Were headed out to see daddy in a few weeks!! And it cannot come soon enough!! I feel like it has been two months since we have seen him, and its only been almost a month... Geeeez!

Already 8 months...

-About 18 lbs
-Eats 3 times a day, and wants everything we eat! If you are eating and he isn't, he basically yells at you until you give him some.
-Says Maaaa and Da.. Da..
-Crawling all over the place and has lost intrest in walking, probably a good thing!
-Favorite thing to do is go after the dog food and water
-Is a great traveler!! Already flown 6 times!
-Very social and LOVES everyone!!
-Will flick his lower lip and make noises, its too cute!!
-Has 5 teeth, bottom 2, 3 on top.. Pretty sure he is working on more!
-Loves the bath!

I honestly cannot believe that my tiny little boy is now 8 months old.. Time is flying by and I am a little torn by that.. I say that because I do not want time to continue zooooming past us as this little boy turns into a toddler.. But I kind of would like time to go fast because I am ready to have my hubs back!! And that will not happen until the end of June... uhhg. Oh well, until then Cole will continue getting practice in the travel area! :)

Like I mentioned before, we headed to Dallas to see daddy this past weekend!! I got my first real taste of the "non-rev" chaos I alway hear about!! We tried to go on Thursday and the first flight was full. So we had to change gates to try for another one. We actually made that flight.. But while waiting to board I realized I didn't have my wallet. I left it at the other gate.. So needless to say we didn't go Thursday because I couldn't do without the wallet! Friday we got up bright and early and made it to Memphis, Tn. Long story short, 2 of 3 flights to Dallas were over sold and we didn't make it. By this time I am stressed out wondering if we were going to make it or have to stay in Memphis over night and I didn't have my bag, it was already in Dallas! So after looking at all the options, we flew to Shreveport, La and Reid came and picked us up! So we made it Dallas, just really late!! We had a really good time with hubs and cannot wait to see him again!!!
